The City of Glasgow will always be my home, and while it is not necessarily tourist destination, it is a place that I feel I should have photographed more. To date, my interest has been in two of the more photogenic locations in Glasgow. This first one is Glasgow University, where I studied Civil Engineering. The cloisters area (beneath Bute Hall and adjacent the Quandrangle) is the traditional focal point of the University, if not the location of the various faculty departments. The second location is on the River Clyde at Finnieston, looking over towards the Clydeport crane, the Hydro, and even the ‘squinty bridge’. I have photographed this location three times, now, with images that were as fulfilling as I have shot anywhere else in the world.
