Despite being Scottish, I do actually have an affinity for England: I have family there; holidayed there as a child; and lived there for nearly ten years – there is much to see and enjoy in England. Returning with my camera having left for the States has been a joy these last 10 to 15 years. We’ve visited the Victorian seaside resort of Scarborough; the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne, the Black Country Museum in the West Midlands, Dover, Lincolnshire, and, of course, London. The trip down the North Sea coast from Berwick to Scarborough and to York was one of the most memorable; largely because I love the rugged coast (born out of an extremely high tidal range) and because it stirs so many memories from my childhood.
