Cabo San Lucas - I know how deep the water is here in the Sea of Cortez, and how dangerous the currents are - not sure I'd be out there paddle boarding! Mexico 2022.

Marine Power

Eatheral Pacific

A 5 second exposure with the big stopper filter - and the waves crash gently across a rocky outcropping on the beach at Cabo San Lucas. Those waves dropping from the rocky crevices was what I was trying to achieve here. Mexico 2022.

Gentle Run-up

This time it is a 15 second exposure with a big stopper filter. The effect is to capture the waves as they roll up and down this very rocky and dangerous part of the Pacific coast. Sea of Cortez, Cabo San Lucas, 2022.

Not So Gentle Shoreline

Under a low tide this shoreline is rocky and treacherous, but during a high tide, especially with this long exposure, it looks so gentle and serene. Cabo San Lucas on the Sea of Cortez. Mexico, 2022.

Cabo Rock

The waves were coming in and hitting me knee high on the Pacific Coast, and this big lump of rock provided very little protection. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. 2022

Wave Pools

I tried over several evenings to get this shot, and it is a composite. The first image is the foreground to get the rocky outcropping in focus, while the second shot was a simple long exposure of the waves engulfing the Sea of Cortez foreshore. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, 2022.
