This is Cape San Blas, looking out across the Gulf of Mexico as a storm made its way alongshore. This glorious part of Florida actually forms a kind of barrier island, even though it is more of a peninsula, protecting Port St. Joe. 2009.

Rays of Sunshine

Panama City Dunes

This is an older image, taken on Panama City Beach, Florida, 2008. We were in town having evacuated from New Orleans due to Hurricane Gustav. It was a great decision: the place was deserted and there was barely any tropical impact. Pretty much had the place to ourselves.

Summer on the Beach

I just love the way the shoreline meanders a little on Pensacola Beach. With the waves and the glorious turquoise waters, it created this very typical summer on the beach scene. Love the way it captures those waves rolling up the sandy profile. Florida, 2011.

Pensacola Pier

One of my favourite piers in one of my favourite places: Pensacola, Florida. Taken in 2010, we got some decent sized waves in the nearshore area which added a little depth to this image.

Pensacola Sunset

Pensacola Beach at sunset in Florida, 2010. We were afforded a fairly high hotel room in the big high rise, which gave me my one and only opportunity for such a shot. I'm glad the sunrise persisted for this one. Originally I went with HDR, but was never satisfied with it, eventually going for a more heavily processed single image.

Pensacola Pier

This image is more personal; it's the Flounders restaurant at the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. Absolutely loved going here during our many trips to Pensacola between 2008 and 2011 - it really hit it out the park with the beach life feel to it. 2010

Disney World Magic Kingdom

Seen one shot of the Magic Kingdom and you've seen them all. But I did like the way the sunset lit up the Disney castle in Orlando, especially as there was an act in progress on the stage infront. Florida, 2016

Absolutely loved the way the sunset lit top the Disney World Magic Kingdom castle, although I did have to slowly muscle my way in to position on the bridge to capture these reflections. If ever patience served me well, it was here. 2016

Swimming at Sunset

This shot was taken during Thanksgiving in 2019. I love the colours, but a few years later, I am taken by the sheer number of people on the pier.
