An interest in photography draws me to certain types of landscape, mainly the remote desert landscapes of the south west of the USA. The Joshua Tree Forest is one such landscape, characterized by those distinctive desert trees that have become an iconic image of the region. The Joshua Tree Forest offered a sea of these trees, and combined with a sunset and a lonely desert highway, it seemed like Christmas for me. I could have spent hours on the 50 mile journey back down to the main highway in this Arizona reach of the Mojave Desert. This gallery represent a small selection of the images I came away with.
