I took another shot looking back up this way at the layby at the turn on the right hand side of the image. You can see the fragmented nature of the rock formations in this image - an utterly amazing sight. Arizona 2017.
There's a very alien quality to the rocky landscape across the central belt of Arizona- myriad of boulder type formations seem to be a very common sight. It's genuinely like nothing that i've seen before. This was taken near to the Queen Creek Tunnel. 2017.
This is eastern Arizona- in the Superstition Mountains, which is in the lower reaches of the Tonto National Forest. We were driving downhill towards Queen Creek Tunnel and couldn't resist stopping to take in this view; crouching down in the middle of the road to get the shot. 2017.
