My big lesson with this Cathedral Rock image is that i got there too late to pick out the only and one good spot on the river's edge to avoid the tree limbs becoming too big a focal point in the image. I didn't even mind the fact that i got my feet wet. PSA, wide angle lens is probably not a good choice for this image. Red Rock State Park, Arizona, 2017.
After pottering about by the river looking for good sunset vantage point (they were all gone), I took a walk ands found this rocky plateau beneath Cathedral Rock. Lots of good foreground opportunities to be found at this location - which is part of the Crescent Moon Park in Sedona, Arizona. 2017.
Crescent Moon Park, part of the Red Rock State Park in Sedona, Arizona. I happened upon this place, somewhat by accident. I had been "following my nose" to find a vantage point of the Cathedral Rock background before finding this picturesque little corner of the mountains. 2017.
