I’ve had some amazing experiences during my limited opportunities to travel through California. Those experiences in include Disney Land, Los Angeles, Holywood, and the last remnants of Route 66 in San Bernardino. However, is the landscape that has captured my photographic imagination more than anything else. My most memorable experience of the natural world in California was traveling through Death Valley, experiencing the searing heat of the Badwater Road, Furnace Creek and Zabriskie Point. However, while the desert somewhat defines California and its climate, the Pacific coastline from Oceanside down to San Diego is just as captivating. A sunset at Coronado Beach was one of the experiences of a lifetime, and for me, a first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean.
