My lasting memories of Atlanta are of cold winter days and cosy winter dining. My in-laws live in suburban Atlanta, but I’ve only really visited the city during the winter. I’m somewhat lucky not to have experienced ‘hot-lanta’, or the grueling traffic. Despite that, I actually found Atlanta very similar to Houston, in that is culture is as frayed and diverse as you might expect of a large city, and altogether different from the rest of the state. The city does have something of an identity, though, with the presence of CNN and Coca-Cola.
